Dave Stubbs, 41

Check the picture! This is dave in Sumatra last winter, September 2003.

A solid surfer who carves very powerful turns. Dave hand-shapes every board, and is stoked to get in the water often as he does.

Dave is a South Peninsula local and surfs where ever is firing on the hour!

Kalk Bay is a favourite break.

Matthew ‘Mouse’ Moir, 25

Matthew is arguably the most talented longboarder in South Africa and a surfer who turns heads every session.

Matthew is an aspiring contender on the longboard world tour and pulls moves normally reserved for shortboarders. The secret is, Matthew rips on a shortboard too!

A Southern suburbs local, to believe what he can do in Muizenberg waves needs to be seen!

Matthew came 5th in the world last year. Watch him at the 2003 World Champs in Raglands, New Zealand…

E-Bay is his favourite spot.

Brett Shearer, 16

Brett is a Long Beach and Kommetjie local, a hot natural footer with a powerful & fast style.

Still at school and with time on his side, Brett is a good competition prospect.

Steve Harcourt-Wood

Steve is the original hard core dude, anything big and he’s there.

Steve rides a longboard like a shortboard, take a look at that rail getting buried!

Favourite spot is Buffels Bay, Cape Point Reserve.

Wesley Grove, 20

Originally from East London, Wesley is a goofy footy who revels in his old hometown breaks of Nahoon Reef and Queensbury Bay.

Now a Kommetjie local, Wesley is also a part of the Stubbs retail team and surfs a 6' detonate with a rounded-pin tail.

Occy is his favourite surfer because old school rail-to-rail moves rule!

William Wallace, 22

A longboarder with a very powerful style, he is known for his distinctive layback cutbacks.

William (a fitness instructor) is an SA Champs contender who puts in time at Long Beach.

Mark Hoyle, 42

Mark is an old hand who hasn’t stopped ripping, in a stylish way.

Surf mentor to many, its hard to watch him without learning.

A past SA champ, Mark is a Kommetjie local.
